JUNIOR PROFILES

Bring your foundations. We'll build the experience

We welcome school leavers, ITS Academy graduates and recent university graduates, introducing them to our activities within skilled teams and supporting the development of their expertise.

You do not need to know all the answers already: bring your foundations and a willingness to learn on the job.

SENIOR PROFILES

Put your experience to work

Apply your skills to technical problems, explore new possibilities and share your experience with the team.

Tell us about the systems you have worked on, the responsibilities you have held and the results you have helped achieve.

Which educational backgrounds fit IOCCO?

Technical and scientific secondary qualifications

Electronics and Electrical Engineering, specialising in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Automation; Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy; IT and Telecommunications. We also consider scientific secondary school graduates, including Applied Sciences, for entry pathways that develop the necessary practical skills.

ITS Academy

Mechatronics and automation programmes, such as Higher Technician in Automation and Mechatronic Systems, relevant to system integration, assembly, commissioning and maintenance.

Bachelor's and master's degrees

Mechatronics and automation engineering; mechanical, electronic, electrical and computer engineering backgrounds are also relevant, depending on the professional area and acquired skills.

Qualifications are a starting point: we also assess relevant experience, projects and skills, including those acquired through equivalent pathways.

Your first months at IOCCO

An indicative six-month pathway, adapted to the role and experience, with a technical mentor and team support.

FIRST MONTH

Get to know the company and find your bearings

Meet the team, products and stages of plant delivery. Become familiar with tools, quality and safety, and agree initial objectives with your mentor.

SECOND AND THIRD MONTHS

Learn by contributing

Join a project with defined tasks and mentoring: design, software, assembly or verification, depending on your role. Technical training and discussion develop your methods, teamwork and organisation.

MONTHS FOUR TO SIX

Building independence

Take responsibility for tasks suited to your demonstrated skills, with team support and reviews. A discussion with your manager recognises progress and sets your next objectives.

How do we adapt the pathway to your experience?

For junior colleagues, we focus on practical foundations, methods and growing independence. For experienced colleagues, we build on existing skills and explore IOCCO processes and project requirements.

Where your role and project allow, you take part in trials, acceptance tests or commissioning to see the effects of your work first-hand. Development continues beyond the first few months through technical training and new challenges.

Growing at IOCCO

A REAL STORY

Alessio: from assembly to department leadership

Over five years at IOCCO, from a passion for mechanics to coordinating complex activities.

After qualifying in accounting and spending time in the United Kingdom, Alessio joined IOCCO in mechanical assembly, bringing a strong interest in mechanics and a curiosity about how things work.

Mentoring by the department manager and a structured development pathway helped him turn this interest into professional skills and gradually take on greater responsibility.

Today he leads the mechanical assembly department and manages complex activities at customer sites abroad. His experience shows how commitment, training and collaboration can open up paths beyond those envisaged during education.

New experiences, supported by IOCCO

Working at customer sites offers opportunities to discover different production environments, broaden skills and see the results of your work in operation.

Healthcare cover during assignments

For business travel, IOCCO provides Mission insurance with worldwide healthcare cover, subject to policy terms.

Travel allowance

Recognition of the commitment involved. Arrangements, conditions and willingness to travel are discussed during recruitment in relation to the role.

Safety, respect for people and attention to wellbeing are part of daily work at our facilities and customer sites.

Our work, in the team's words

From model to machine

The most exciting part is seeing a design decision become a working system. In mechanical design, we collaborate with automation and assembly: every detail must make sense to the people who build, operate and maintain the machine. We look for passion, curiosity and rigour, together with a willingness to discuss ideas.

Mechanical Design Manager

Software meets the process

Writing the program is part of the job. The challenge is to understand the process, connect sensors, drives and robots, and verify plant behaviour. We look for enthusiastic, curious people who observe, ask questions and tackle problems methodically. Sharing ideas with colleagues is part of how we develop.

Automation Manager

Different skills, a shared result

A plant takes shape when design, procurement, assembly and commissioning work towards shared objectives. Everyone's contribution matters: highlighting an issue, proposing a solution and sharing lessons helps the entire team. Experience and new perspectives strengthen each other in everyday work.
